Joining The Heart Support Organisation means becoming part of a caring, supportive community dedicated to heart health. Members gain access to our monthly support meetings, workshops, and social events, all designed to make the journey to recovery a little easier and a lot more encouraging.

Volunteer

If you’re someone with a kind heart and a desire to help, we invite you to join our volunteer team. Experience with heart disease isn’t necessary; all you need is empathy and a willingness to contribute. Whether it’s helping with events, supporting members at meetings, or spreading awareness, every volunteer plays a vital role in fulfilling our mission.

Donate

Your support helps us make a difference in the lives of heart patients and their families. Donations, no matter the size, go directly to our programs and community efforts. You can donate once, become a monthly supporter, or even sponsor a specific event or project. Together, we can create a lasting impact on heart health in our community.

  2. Stay with the patient.
  3. Check for a pulse and if necessary Start CPR.
  4. If you are alone with the patient, call someone nearby, give them the patient’s post code and ask them to locate the nearest defibrillator on DEFIB FINDER UK, collect it and bring it immediately to the patient’s address.

General advice

Heart attacks can affect anyone of any age so keeping an emergency contact number and the location off the nearest defibrillator could be life-saving.

We also suggest that all elderly people, especially those living alone, keep the contact number of a relative or friend under a magnet on the fridge door and clearly visible to emergency teams.
